i dont know if this is nurolyme but i can get the worst tingling in my legs back and stomic by simply slding my hand across my chest or back and it shoots down my leg sometime it happens by just bearlt moving in bed and also if someone touches my back it does it in my head anyone ekus have this thoo

I used to get electric shocks if someone touched me - not from static but from inside of me - my nerves would do it. As if I had just touched an electric fence to that part of my body, so I jumped every time someone touched me, like a startle reflex - every now and again, someone would think it funny and do it on purpose and I had to explain to them that it was actually very painful for me and to not do it.

Once that calmed down some, it was just prickly, pins and needles that would hit instead of that strong electric shock feeling, and now it's pretty much gone - fortunately.

lynnkyle - Yes, it's those kind of shivers...but I don't get goose bumps.

And..I do get them when I'm warm...but more often when I am cold...

yes, I get them first thing in the morning - down my right leg..
I sometimes wondered if it's triggered by anxiety or stress...but in the morning they happen before I'm even 'conscious'.

But, I do get them when I'm listening to music I like sometimes...so strange to try to figure it all out.

I'm pretty sure I have bartonella...I have a lot of nervous system issues...so it could very well be bartonella.

(But, it could be lyme, too)

Hmm interesting. I think I have bartonella as well. Recently went on rifampin and zithro. 2nd week on it. Not much better. More twitching was happening all over my body.

I was thinking about having my doctor try and add minocycline in as well next month or take zithro out and do mono since it does well with the nervous system and neuro Lyme.

Callaway - 1-2 weeks is not even close to enough time to feel better in most cases of bartonella.

More twitching is most likely a herx. Bartonella affects the nervous system...and twitching is a symptom of that.

I have read that sometimes there isn't improvement with bart treatment for a couple of months...so hang in there.

I get numbness/tingling in my fingers if I hold anything in my hand that puts pressure on the fingers or hand. For example, holding a bucket, a utensil with a sharpish edge, anything that puts a little pressure on there. It feels like the nerves are damaged and anything touching them causes them to malfunction. Also if I step on something like one of my kids' matchbox cars my foot will do it too.

This only happens in my right side, and it didn't start until I did a DMSA urine challenge test. I think its more a symptom of mercury redistribution than anything else. Wish I knew how to make it stop.
