Not been on here in a while!

Anyone get heart palps and feels like it hurts to beat? I think inhave POTS too as my heart rate increases by over 30 when i stand up. When i walk upstairs my heart hurts and it feels like its thumping really loud. My breathing is very short and i have vascular dysfunction which was found on an autonomic nervous system test. Does anyone else have these issues? I have lyme, bart, babesia, mycoplasma pn, probably the rest too

I have POTS, but I don't get heart palps. Sorry you're experiencing this.

Have you had your heart checked out by a cardiologist?


This is the second time I've seen the autonomic nervous system test...what type of Dr. does that?

Yes i did but was a few months ago. Its got much worse.
Good question haha i am treated at a private clinic in the UK and they do the autonomic nervous system tests there. The doctors are all lyme literate and the dr who did this test i think is a neurologist

I do have those symptoms and I believe it is probably the Lyme but I would think it best to get it checked out by your physician. Thats what I am going to do just to be on the safe side. It will give you some peace of mind. =)

If it's worsened, I think you should see the Cardiologist again.


What type of testing was done for the autonomic nervous system?

Obviously heart was monitored throughout.
The testing was different exercises:, sitting down fhen standing up, being led down then sat up, squeezing something hard for 2 minutes, cant remember what else. Basically things which put a strain on your heart to see how well its working.

I agree with Denikeef, get a doctor to check out your heart.

I had heart issues and they were very worrisome. Gosh I have a spreadsheet of my blood pressure and pulse for 6 months straight.

Much better with treatment, but I do need to go and get a cardio check again, just to be sure.

I had the same heart issues. I bought the fitbit HR and found that when my heart was thumping my pulse was dropping not increasing as I thought. That gave me some peace of mind. I still saw a Cardiologist. I wore a monitor and had an echogram done. The monitor showed that I was having PVC's and PAC's which are extra beats. That's what causes the thumping. The Cardiologist said that since my heart was healthy he was confident that they were caused by the disease and would diminish as I continued to treat. They have in fact diminished quite a bit as I've been doing IV ozone.

As others have said, I would suggest going to a cardiologist. They can do an echo, stress test, etc. I recently had another evaluation that was fine, however I am still wearing a heart monitor for 2 weeks, just to see what my heart is doing as I go about my day. My symptoms have gotten better since using Hawthorne tincture, but I still wanted to have peace of mind.
