I had all my root canals removed because the gums and even the dead teeth seemed abscessed to me. At least, they were very sore. The dentist said it was not possible for a dead tooth to be abscessed, but when each dead tooth was removed, I was embarrassed at the odor coming from the cavity and I could taste the most awful, rotten taste. My dentist says implants are made of titanium, and they shouldn't cause a problem. So far, they are not a problem for me. Long story short, I felt light years better after getting those root canals and fillings out of my mouth. I now have one metal crown, and I hope to have it replaced soon.
(P.S. Editing to add this: I don't know where I read this, but somewhere it said that if you have a MTHFR gene, you will have problems with the metals.
And, from a friend's experience, she and her daughter go to the same holistic health doctor, and that doctor said her daughter needed all her metal fillings removed, but my friend did not need any removed.)
