I want to use Serrapeptase for biofilms breaking.
Do you think it is a good idea? I have severe tendons, ankles & back pain and I hope it can help with that too.
I take abx - Minocycline and Clindamycin, and I use NAC for biofilms, but I want to change NAC because it started to hurt my stomach.
Can you help me please?

Been using this for months and in my opinion it works, however, when I first started it....took 2 per day and had a massive herx type reaction...stepped it back to 1,worked my way up with 2 and felt better after a while.

I was taking serrapeptase for many months for biofilms...I think I'm going to add it back in again.

You need to take it on an empty stomach...otherwise it will act as a digestive aid.

I think serrapeptase is great. Like reminder I had herx type reaction as well, same deal with nattokinase and lumbrokinase.

Yes nattokinase and serrapeptase are great. They are in my veganzyme. As girlie said if you take it with food, it is a digestive aid, otherwise w/o food it works as a systemic aid.

It's apparently an anti-inflammatory. My husband was taking it for back pain - many years ago..

My LLMD says both. I bought Drs Best, but after using the bottle the doc had me try nutramedix. Not sure what the difference is, but the brand my doc gave me made me feel like crap on 3 a day. I had to cut it back to 1.

I have one more question.
Do you think it is enough to take just Serrapeptase to address cysts, or it is needed to add Flagyl or Tindi for busting cysts?

My opinion, before id add Flagyl or Tindi id try grapefruit seed extract along with serrapeptase and see if that works. Wouldnt hurt to have a little extra help.

I believe it's just biofilms...need something else for cyst busting.

Flagyl/Tinidazole/GSE

...also pulsing apparently works, too.

There are two essential oils from Supreme Nutrition (BFB1 & BFB2) that are supposed to also deal with biofilms. If you google Supreme Nutrition you can read about them. Their claim is that the oils not only deal with the bio film but then have some anti microbial properties. Has anyone used these products or other essential oils for this purpose? Supreme Nutrition has some other products for Lyme. Has anyone used these herbs with success?

I have read recently not to take GSE with doxycycline because it interferes with it. has anyone else heard this? I am also on serrapeptase.

GSE interacts with a lot of abx and IMO if you take abx better not to take GSE

My LLND said it was fine to take the GSE with antibiotics.

I don't see doxycycline in the list...and at the bottom of the list...there's a link to check out each medication specifically with Grapefruit.

Here's another link:

Doxycycline shouldn't be taken with dairy products.

I am sorry, that's what I have read somewhere.

So it can be used with tetracycline? And what about macrolide?

How much time do I need to wait for eating after I take Serrapeptase?

I would give it at least an hour - for it to leave your stomach. 1 1/2 hours would be better.

Are you asking if you can take the abx at the same time as the GSE? Good question.

Actually I would take the Serrapeptase first, wait an hour to hour and a half - then eat and take abx. Or are your abx supposed to be on an empty stomach too? Some abx are supposed to be taken with food. The minocycline I have says on the bottle to take with food.
I took doxy with food as well.

I wanted to check with you if this is good way:
take Serrapeptase, wait 1 1/2 hour, eat, take abx.

And if I miss to take Serrapeptase in the morning, how much should I wait after I ate to take it? Is it enough to take 3 hours for the stomach to be empty?

thank you in advanced

I am afraid if Serrapeptase can inhibit abx in some way??

Yes what you posted is good. But if you don't get the Serrapeptase in first thing in the morning, then I think you could take the Serrapeptase two hours after you eat. That should be enough time.

No, I don't think the Serrapeptase will inhibit the effectiveness of the abx. I haven't heard that it does.

thank you very much

Is it enough to take 120,000units per day?

I have stomach issues and I heard it is hard on stomach, so I would like to take the lowest dose that is effective
