Lymedriven has those 11 other herbs that help detox and support for some of the specific issues he's dealing with. You can see the post that he lists the herbs he's using here: www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=30&m=3741351
I use turmeric not only for inflammation, but for liver support as well, as I can't use milk thistle.
Quite possibly, it's really a matter of researching each of the herbs, I'm sure they all may have properties that may help; some used in other people's protocol for treating lyme like the chinese skullcap.
Most of the 11 other herbs are for nervous system/brain support/nuero support. But it's hard to just seclude them to that category....because herbs are really great at multiple systemic healing.
All in all, its hard to put a cap on one benefit but I would research each one individually before adding them in.
My main reason for the 11 herbs is to help the nuero anxiety aspect that lyme creates; in order to fix the functioning of the brain/nervous system in order for further healing to occur more naturally.
Not to say; these herbs may have strong antiparasital/viral/ effects. I would research each.
Some based off buhner's perspective to heal symptoms as well.
