Having some issues-- blame it on the alcohol?

I had a couple glasses of sangria on Thanksgiving. That evening, while I was finishing my 2nd glass, I experienced some rather intense gas/bloating, which lasted about 20 minutes. I didn't think much of it, though I did stop drinking.

Since then I've experienced some odd symptoms. It feels like something is swollen on the right side of my stomach. I can't feel it if I'm standing or sitting normally but I'm aware of it if I try to sleep on my right side. Moreover, today I experienced some mild stomach discomfort and a headache.

I am mostly symptom-free of Lyme at this point and have been on cefdinir and rifampin (for bart) for nearly one year now. I also take cat's claw, milk thistle, CoQ10, vitamin D, garlic, and ginkgo biloba.

I have had a couple drinks in the past without issue, so I'm struggling to piece together what is going on here.

All this happened over two glasses of wine to both of you? Yikes. I was hoping that after this is all over and I'm symptom free I can do normal thing. So much for Christmas glass of champagne.

I've pretty much given up all alcohol although there was a nice prosecco at Thanksgiving and I did have one glass without too much issue but otherwise it just isn't worth how it affects me. I always tell people not to feel bad if I don't have a beverage... I've had plenty in my life! Not missing out on a thing! :)

Still curious- what would explain the "swollen" feeling on the right side of my belly?

Does it feel 'hard' to the touch?
If it's the upper part, that's where the esophagus joins the stomach. Are you sure it's in your belly?

If it's the lower part, that's where your stomach is divided by a muscle valve that opens and shuts for waste to go into your duodenum.


If it is Candida, it's a toss up where it will latch on to your stomach, but I expect it would be close to your esophagus.

Usually when I have just gas it's more to the left side, although I have some pain to the right. Like I have right now from eating too much popcorn.


I need to go drink some acv. Did you try some natural acid relief, just in case?

I don't have very many answers for what you're going through. But omg I feel you, I had like three glasses of wine tonight and I haven't drank in over year. My face went numb and i started shaking... I did just see online though that alcohol actually kills spirochetes = reason why we feel so crappy after we drink. Our body is trying to expel the alcohol on top of die off toxins
