pmm,
How long have you had lyme? I'm going to assume you are a "newer" lymie?
The up and down, rollercoaster ride of symptoms are to be expected. Bacterial lifecycles, your treatment cycles, etc, causes ups and downs in, bacterial load and inflammation (herxes).
If you were to put our lyme and co symptoms on a graph chart it would look like a group of rolling hills or chain of mountainous spikes.
Bad stretches, good stretches, a little bad, really bad, good, really good ,bad, a little good, really good, bad again.
It's just lyme. What I learned when it's bad, hang in there because the storm does pass. When I feel great, enjoy it because the storm will come back eventually at some point (until symptom free status is reached).
I was bit about
5-6 years ago (maybe even earlier when I think about
it) but only diagnosed/started treatment in August 2016, so I do forget at times that this is all new to me. It feels like it's been forever already! Some symptoms I can handle gracefully, others terrify me, and others just annoy me - I have seen some progress but I get frustrated when I feel lousy without knowing why exactly or what to do about
it.
