I haven't researched the PCR - i recently had a PCR positive blood test for bartonella..and the lab said there was no questioning it...it was positive. I had bartonella bacteria in my blood.
Both of my LLNDs agreed.

Yes false positives on a western blot. Band 41, ospC is flagella. There are other things that can throw that band.

But PCR for ospC is DNA of that Lyme flagella.

But, a positive band 41 alone won't be considered a positive WB anyway.

I found this excerpt from Klinghardt at a recent conference:

With the DNA Connexions PCR testing via urine (after deep tissue or similar body work), they have had 2 negatives out of 200 tests and most were coinfected with Bartonella and/or Babesia.

So that's 99% positive. Granted these are sick people. Wish we could test 200 healthy people.

I have not 1000 daisies I am strapped for cash with being in full tie school and full time work with treating for this it has been interesting so God bless my wife. But I want to get the best bang for the buck and the Lyme's DNA test also checks for common co-infections which I don't believe that the advanced labs does without an up charge? not sure on that so if you have thoughts I am open to suggestions.

Curious - have you tested with Advanced Labs yet? When I got frustrated with not-as-definitive results from Igenex, I switched to testing with Advanced Labs. It confirmed diagnosis for us. They actually take a picture of the spirochete and send it with the lab report. Doesn't get more definitive to me than that. ; )

less than 3 days. The second time I did ups second day air and they received it in time. The first time I tried usps priority which is supposed to be 3 days but it ended up taking them 6. I did a massage and exercised for the first sample. The second time I only exercised. Should have results back end of this week.

i've decided to get this done as well. i'll probably be trying LDI and this is good information to have. i already know i have (or had) lyme and babesia my last igenex positive test was in april so pretty sure still carrying them around. would love to get a bart positive just to tie up that loose end!

Im in the Pac/NW and see a highly respectable well known Lyme literate Homeopathic ND who is trained in chinese medicine. His ND that he 'took on' last year is a microbiologist who focused her study on Lyme disease testing. This team of docs are quite impressive!!!

Point is, they've found 100% success in using DNA connexions, compared to all the other available Lyme tests. It is because it looks for the DNA of the pathogens. When I say 100% success, what I mean is that the test confirmed their treatment protocols in their patients.

When Lyme cannot be found by way of antibodies, looking for the DNA of the buggers seems to me to be what should be the 1st test ordered!!!

In 2010 I tested negative on elisa and Igenix, 2012 negative according to CDC on Igenix, 2014 Igenix I had 1 double starred band and 3 indeterminates; began Lyme treatment under a Dr. who claimed to be LYME LITERATE but wasnt(ended up retiring).

This year when I got definate positive for Lyme and Ehrliciosis, I was SO relieved to FINALLY have proof. It is the same DNA testing that agroup of scientists did on an ancient frozen man they found to be positive for Lyme DNA!!!

And YES exercise first before collecting the urine, to ensure proper collection.

yes if you go on website they only have a few tests the one for lyme is called 'Lyme Panel'. For $500 not a bad deal.

This test looks at I think 2 strains of Bart, 2 of Babs, Ehrl, Anaplasma, 2 of Borrelia and then the 4 different genes of Burgdorferi. I actually got the test for $425 this summer (old kit pricing). I think I paid that much for Bart testing alone through IGeneX.

I did it while on bvt herbs and iv zith rocephin...came back positive for borrelia and bart bacciliformis

I will tell you what I did so you can NOT do it - I exercised for 30 min and drank lots of water. I collected sample about 15 min after exercising. I think it just ran right through me. My test was totally negative.

If I did it again I would exercise longer and try to wait maybe an hour after to collect sample.
