Has anyone used the Japanese knotweed products on Amazon? Are they any good? I'm worried about shipping to South Africa and would prefer to use an experienced company. Green Dragon has never shipped here before. There are products from Nature Restore and Montana Pharmacy. Is a tincture or powder better?

Is it Montana Farmacy? (With an "F") -

On the Buhner website, I see it is listed as a source for the herb Alchornea cordifolia.

As far as powder vs tincture - that's up to you.

I found the tinctures easy to take - I would put several in about 1/4 glass of water and down the hatch.

Also tinctures are very convenient when you start out - you can titrate up a drop or two at a time.

For powder - would you be filling capsules?

No, I just thought you take the powder in water. I'm new to these meds. Not sure how it all works.

I have bought the Japanese Knotweed made by Montana Farmacy on Amazon and it was great.

I have also bought the Japanese Knotweed under the name of Hu Zhang by HawaiiPharm on Amazon and it was also super good!! It's ratio is 1:3. HawaiiPhram also makes an alcohol free Hu Zhang and it is also available on Amazon.

Both great companies and comparable prices.

Make sure you check the shipping prices to S. Africa. I have no idea what those costs might be.

I've had good luck with Plum Flower brand of herbs as well.

Powders are hard to take in water - they get stuck to your throat. LOL! I got a free sample of quercetin powder, and it's a very fine powder. I thought since it would be hard to put it into capsules (powder all over everywhere!), I thought I would just take it as a loose powder. Yep, not working out as hoped!

Many of the herb powders you will be taking won't be quite as fine of a grind, but it will still give you some troubles. If you wish to steep them for 10 - 20 minutes and then strain the powder back out, it might be a good way to take it though.

LOL! Traveler get yourself a thermos or bottle with a wide opening and cap and give that thing a through shake. I take powders whenever I can for cost reasons and I have not yet choked ;)

just started plum flower so I'll report back if anything happens.

The best thing I ever bought was a blender bottle!!

I put in a splash of apple juice, some water and my Green Vibrance or my wheatgrass and shake it up and it is the bomb!

I got tired of getting out the food processor or vitamix for a quick drink.

I bought mine through Amazon and it turned to be a wrong one (from grapes). So be sure to double check before you order.
