Update!

So, it's been a month since my last LLMD appointment and functional medicine doctor appointment. I went in and told my LLMD that my neuropathy was still bothering me a lot and that every time I take the Des bios Borrellia/babesia remedy, I vibrate. He said he thought I was still having an auto-immune response. I've been off antibiotics for 4 months (low dose minocycline/tinidizole pulse/ every other day).

We've both been confused as to which infection is causing the neuropathy. So, he gave me 4 LDI shots: Candida/Mold, Borrellia/Babesia/Bartonella, EBV and airborne environmentals (its about to be high mold and cedar fever season here in a Texas).

I'm still on the lowest dose LDI of everything since my reactions have been so severe. He had me take 4 days of prednisone (tapering down from 3 pills to 1). He said they have been getting better results with the prednisone. He said the goal is to completely turn off the immune system temporarily so the killer T cells that are confused and fighting your own body, will reset. I asked him about the DesBios being something that works with your immunity and he said "No, it works like an antibiotics, but on a cellular level". I've been on DesBios since day one of treatment and think it has really worked in it's weird magical way. I mean I used to herx like crazy on 1 drop of the Bartonella remedy.

Anyway, after my shots, I had my typical flare for about a week (worsening of numbness and tingling), but I've noticed since then, a 40% improvement in my neuropathy this time. I can only really feel the tingling when I had coffee or if I walk barefoot or if I really concentrate on it.

He also gave me the prescription to start the Pirouette's Nystatin powder regime, which I will start after the holidays. I read that the Difucan doesn't penetrate deep in the colon. I have been drinking the red clover/pau d'arco/stinging nettle tea daily for 3 months. I don't have any typical Candida issues at this time, except cravings.

I'm on a small maintenance dose of some Buhner herbs, and lots of green tea for my Babesia, which I feel is currently my worst problem remaining. I still get the occasional 12 hour killer headache and floaty feeling, and I do believe something has hatched, however there is not set pattern in my symptom diary. As long as I drink some green tea during the day, I do better. It's been 5 months on the Babesia herbs.

My functional medicine doctor, who is helping me with my methylation issues and mitochondrial dysfunction has me on 2 ml of Methyl-b/folinic acid/B-6 every 3 days and a phospholipid oil formula 2 tablespoons a day to rebuild nerves. I think that is also helping. My herxing had diminished and I feel really calm most days.

Lastly, I take the MCP (4 pills) 2x a day to try and mop up the biotoxins (I have the Mold gene HLA). I will probably do that for the rest of my life since we currently live in a very moldy city.

I'm slowly starting to believe that I will be able to completely heal. It is my 13th month of treatment and still feels like a full time job. I'm meditating everyday and creating a vision for my life that includes perminant health. I've talked about the book that has helped me. It's The inner Matrix by Joey Klein if anyone is curious.

You may have stated this in your post....I have low brain function today. So if you did I am not sorting it out.

Did you do the Desbio along with the shots and Buhner all at once? Or were all of these things done in steps?

I truly believe in visualization exercises. The only thing on my visualization board is a picture of myself looking and feeling healthy.

If I can help, let me know. I realized after posting that I thought I had a very straightforward treatment plan, but it was and is complex.

I started out on low dose doxy and cholestyramine for 2 months cuz I was so toxic. I also started on the DesBios immediately, and had to work up to 10 drops a day. Took a long time. Everything made me herx horrible. Took just 1 100 doxy a day for 4 weeks . Worked up to 2 100mg 2x/ day. He also started giving me magnesium/methyl b shots each visit. I switched to minocycline/tinodozle end of January. I also too 3 rounds of diflucon (10 days on/10 days off), Nystatin 30 days. When I took the Nystatin, I noticed my neuropathy decreased so that was good info.

I took a couple of 10 day rounds of rifampin for Bart and did a 3 weeks Chinese tea experiment (that's a whole crazy story itself).

My co-infections were diagnosed by electo-dermal screenings, by a naturopath that works with my LLMD and my LLMD tailored my treatment based on what my scans revealed. It was wack-a-mole for sure. The Bart got horrible as my Lyme got under control (Jan) The Babesia appeared in July after me feeling 90%. It had never registered on any scans at all before July.

I started the LDI shots in February and take them every 2 months. He decides based on symptoms. I stated Buhner herbs in March. Got to 95%, cut out the Babesia herbs and it reared its ugly head cuz I didn't take them long enough.

Very confusing and complicated. Still concerned about his Babesia, just taking it one day at a time.

So, you got 4 LDI shots - how does the Dr. determine what is causing what symptoms - to decide what 'strength' to give you the next time? (since there is symptom overlap)

Your doctor sounds very knowledgeable in the LDI as well as your overall treatment. You are very lucky to have such a doc!!
