Wow, I think it is cool that you have a black light!! It brought back my 60's party memories of black light posters.

Unfortunately there is nothing but blogs, conjecture, and people on the internet asking why there pupils are glowing and their friends arent. It is not directly connected to Lyme but it is estimated that about 10% of people with Lyme actually have or will develop this condition known as Morgellons. I seem to be one of those 10%.
Other than the itching it is a mild case of Morg. with no visible fibers...yet.
At first I thought I was mold sick, then when the yeast cleared, I developed very specific symptoms of Lyme, and now this. There is an indirect connection amongst the three conditions as there is plenty of circumstantial evidence to suggest. Since my wife is asymptomatic but affected, this may be one simplest early ways to tell if you are one of the 10% that actually have this condition.
There are few places we can talk and get help for this condition that appears to be a subset of Lyme. If your vision is bothering you this may provide a clue of sorts.

I'm with Girlie - I don't have a black light.

Its not $25. This light is $9 and has more uses than this test. I believe this is the best Morg test that we have.

If your PUPILS not the whites of your eyes, but PUPILS have a glowing mass in them then you MAY have Morgellons and need to get on Fluconazole asap. 400 mg daily. It has been known to be safe up to 1600mg but I wouldn't do more than 800mg.

The speed in which this disease hit my brother was massive and horrible. The antibiotics only made it go away temporarily, I am now insisting he use antihelmintics.

I did not progress rapidly and it did not present nearly as bad because I jumped on Fluconazole and cycled other meds as soon as I discovered my yeast was systemic.

I believe we were exposed at the same time.

I never thought I had anything but mold sickness, then I had Lyme, then I had Morgellons. But by Dr. Savelys definition I do not have it. Why wait until it gets that awful?

Long time since I posted! Anyway, is it possible you are talking about the scurf ring (darker ring around the outer edge of the iris)? Many years ago I posted about looking in the mirror to check your iris because of the article below which states:

If you can see a darker ring around the very most outer edge of the iris, you have what is called a scurf ring. Seeing a scurf ring always indicates that your skin is not eliminating toxins well, and it is being reflected on the iris of the eye. Thanks for your reply. I didnt know what a scurf ring is. Now I do and I love to learn things so I may look into it.

But no what I am talking about is your eyes may look like anyone else in daylight.

What I did was to take a UV black light flashlight and shine it into my eye while staring into a mirror at night in a dark room with no other lights on.

I know this wavelength is not great for the eye so I did it just long enough to make out the formation.

It sits on top of the pupil in the center of the eye. It is confined to the area of the pupil (in my case) It looks like a glowing circular mass and another glowing circular mass stacked on top of each other much like the mastercard logo circles or two dimes stacked slightly off center. This mass glows in black light.

Oh wow, this is new to me about morgellons! It doesn't completely surprise me though. If I come across a black light I need to check my eyes.

What's the glowing look like, similar to eye shine on a dog or cat??

What exactly are Morgellons and how do you know you have them? Is it any scientific background for it or just crazy internet theories?

To boot it is very difficult to tell which parasites are affecting you as there is something that feels like mites crawling on you that may have one or more components of bacteria, fungi, and or nematodes.

I believe the primary infection is fungal. When you are infected with fungus, insects which eat fungus are attracted to you and bite which can transmit nematodes. Therefore the illness gets complicated and compounded.

To further complicate things, even if there aren't nematodes it can cause breakouts that appear like insect bites and can feel like mites crawling all over you.

The best thing you can do to determine if there are nematodes is to change your diet to a no sugar, no carb diet.

Mites and nematodes don't care what you eat and will take a longer time to respond to dietary changes, therefore if you have these parasites these symptoms will remain present throughout the changes.

If the strange sensations cease with the dietary changes you will be able to tell that it is fungi and or bacteria causing the symptoms.

There are some very intelligent people afflicted with this condition that are not at all delusional nor hypochondriacs.

Since the doctors for the most part aren't willing to help us and label some of us as delusional, we are forced to take matters into our own hands and self treat. Therefore it is paramount that we be able to bounce ideas off of each other and consider the possibilities and possible treatments that may help.

This can happen to any one of us. I thought I was mold sick and cured it. Then I began getting Lyme specific symptoms. Then I noticed that some of my symptoms are not common to Lyme and some are. The ones not common to Lyme are more common with Morgellons sufferers.

I have not progressed to where the fibrous materials are visible to the naked eye. Although I suspect the stings I sometimes feel may very well be the fibrous material beginning to poke through my skin.

It is my hopes that we can identify this condition before that stage and treat the disease.

With everyone's efforts and contributions I am confident we can reverse this condition or slow its progression.
