Chlorella for heavy metal detoxing

I have an appointment with my functional chiropractor today. I did the hair analysis for heavy metals. He mentioned DSMA (or is it DMSA) but feels to my low functioning kidneys it may not be a good idea. He also mentions chlorella which is less effective but safer. Any problems taking chlorella such as herxes or other negative effects?

I've been on DMSA, 3 days on 11 days off, for 3 months for High level lead toxicity, labs are good for liver and kidney checkups.

I use KingChlorella as part of my overall detox regimen and for me it helps diminish the herxing

I've taken DE and Calcium Bentonite to help with detox and heavy metals in the past. I just have the hardest time consuming chlorella - powder or pill it makes me gag. I don't know why. If you have a hard time getting the chlorella down, you may want to talk to your doc about diatomaceous earth or calcium bentonite clay. They are still pretty gross, though. I believe they are both pretty gentle on your system and just carry the toxins and metals out through your digestive tract.

We use organic cilantro tincture (from Flower Fairy Herbal) and DE.

5 drops of the tincture 2x daily with 1 tbsp. DE (usually mixed in 1 tsp organic psyllium husk powder) 2-3 hours after. Do not use more than 5 drops. Excessive dumping of metals into the intestinal tract will cause candida overgrowth - I know, I did it.

We have never tested for metals, but our EMF sensitivities quickly resolved after we started this "Poor Man's Chelation" protocol, so I assume our metal burdens have decreased.

Thank you. My functional medical doctor started me on chlorella clean. I'm to take 2 caps 2 times a day. He stated i can take it with other supplements without a problem? Does that sound right? We will try the DMSA at a later date.

For chelating metals from your GI tract: Cholestyramine, Blue Green Chlorella Algae Powder (tastes like pond dirt), Cilantro is great and much easier to work into recipes...good luck!

Do you need to take Chlorella on an empty stomach? How far from meals?

You can take Chlorella with or without food, really anytime it won't interfere with abx or supps either.
