I have tried both HH zhang and nutramedix.
I am not sure if the HH has changed much since when I tried it but it would cure flu very quickly and seem like it penetrates every part of the body including changing body odor. I think Zhang may have reduced the foul (at least for me) of HH. It is highly potent.
Nutramedix houttuynia does not have the odor and contains alcohol. When taking this, it would cure flu quickly, but would not feel like it penetrates the entire body like the HH pill did.
I use Flu example because effects can be observed easily. For pathogens such as bartonella, houttuynia will have a good effect on killing it off, but does not completely hit the other co-infections that at times appear as if they work together. There are other dynamics of the co-infections that makes it more difficult for eliminating these pathogens. Horrowitz has the beginnings of a MSIDS model that helps. For nutramedix, I would make a tea from fresh ginger and tumeric root, along with Pau dArco, then add in drops after steeping from houttuynia, enula, banderol and a few others from nutramedix. Taken at night this is highly effective in enabling the body to fight off these pathogens. Systemic enzymes taken on empty stomach also aide in being absorbed into the blood and can dissolve cysts that tend to protect pathogens.
If health condition is highly compromised, my tendency would be to take both types of houttuynia, but while taking must allow for plenty of sleep, water and supportive food and probiotics taken at opposite times of the day when houttuynia is administered. For times with less compromise, nutramedix is much easier to take and quite effective in the way mentioned above.
There are two blood tests that can be used to identify bartonella load. Expensive and not always covered by insurance (plus some doctors unwilling to administer), but it helps in monitoring the effect of nutritional regime.
These are just my experience with both.

How long have you been in treatment for Bartonella?
