Left hand really cramping up and hard to grip. Anything I can take?

My left hand has been very painful and it's now cramping up and hard to grip. Been having to use right hand. I'm left handed.

Anything I can take? I just took some magnesium powder.

I have had that problem off and on for a few years now. Someone for sure will have something to take other than what I do, which is massage it or run warm water over it.

I can't imagine dealing with that with a dominant hand. Thankfully I didn't have my problem while my right arm was in a sling. Ouch, Huddie, I am so sorry!

Thanks July! I have been constantly massaging it too. Haven't tried warm water yet...

I really think the extreme change in temperatures set it off. 80 degrees all last week and now freezing!

Glad yours is better - that gives me hope. Thanks.

Taking magnesium is what I would have suggested. I bet the extreme temperature changes aggravated things. What about a soak in epsom salts? Not sure why that popped up? You can also make oil of magnesium by mixing epsom salt with distilled water. I used that when my cramping was an issue and it seemed to help. I used filtered water and aloe vera juice for making my magnesium oil. (not sure why they call it magnesium oil when it isn't made with it.)

Thank you! I have magnesium oil. Great idea. I'm going to take an epsom salt bath and then spray mag. oil after.

Huddie, as my joint pain gets less I have more (or now can notice it more) issues with cramping and muscle twitching and 'vibrating'. The only thing I have found to help so far is more magnesium. I take it 2 or 3 times a day

Thank you. I think it's a temperature issue. I have bee fine in that area (it was one of my first symptoms) and we went from very hot to now very cold. It's better now because I had huge dose of magnesium and sprayed magnesium oil. Will do warm soak right now.
