Mpost & traveler... forgive my kneejerk response to the ALS information... I didn't think there was animosity intended.
Last February, after a short hospital stay, my sister was sent home with the "it's advanced ALS and she'll probably die in a few months" diagnosis, despite the test results from igenex so I tend to growl at times.
Needless to say, we're still here slugging away at this beast.
There has been some improvement... she was completely bedridden for a few months & is now able to sit in her wheelchair.
The feeding tube is because of the inability to swallow she couldnt get enough nutrition and was very very thin & weak. Her color is back, she put on weight and with the daily passive exercises, has regained some muscle tone and a little motion in her arms & legs.
These may be small steps but certainly why we believe in her recovery & will soldier on.
