Hi, MA10. I do pretty hard core keto, actually. It's fairly new to me as it's only been 2 weeks, but I'm working with my doctor, so I'm giving it a go.
I measure glucose and ketones from blood multiple times per day. I need to lose weight, so my calories are lower. Per day my perfect calories are around 1450, with 70-75% fat.
I log all of my food, which I thought would be brutal, but it actually isn't and I can see what nutrients I am putting in. It's going great so far. I feel a massive burst in energy and my workouts are crazy good.
I am not in consistent ketosis yet. It hasn't been long enough and infection may make it more difficult, but I am absolutely enjoying it. I am eating 500 or more calories than I was before. My glucose is still fluctuating, but my ketones are spot on.
