Oh I never saw the replies for this post, I must not have hit the "notify me of replies" button.
Thanks everyone for the info. I found a class in Vancouver Island. If I ever move out there one day I would love to attend, as it is only 4 months. A just in learning more about
such a rare art form!
Traveler and Peteza I second everyone else's replies - You would make excellent Herbalists!

I believe it is in Victoria. Well my mom's dream is to live there (by the ocean).
I don't want to be split up from my family, and I really want a change because I've lived here all my life. Also there are poor job opportunities here for my husband.
And although the sun is nice in the summer the winters here are quite bad. We get socked in with cloud, cold and snow. So the island I guess has its appeal. I know it rains alot though, my mom loves it so much she was born in Nanaimo.

Victoria is a beautiful city...not too large like Vancouver....
I'm farther north (even farther than Nanaimo)

I'm planning on taking some intensive courses next year with a local herbalist and then a clinical course after that. Only problem is i moved into a hippy city where herbalists are a dime a dozen. So lots of great people to learn from but lots of stiff competition

Hey, Psilo!! Congratulations!!! Learn all you can all those lovely people, then aim your practice at an area that isn't really being addressed yet!
Best of luck!!!!

Thanks! Yeah I think I have plenty of knowledge to put a unique spin on it. I feel seriously called to work with plants so there's no giving up on this one even if it just is a side job
