Hi All,
thanks again with the help owith the the labs last week. My daughter has been playing phone tag with her doctor. She actually went in to see her and she was out. She finally got her on the phone and the diagnosis: degenerative disc disease. She still wants to see my daughter's Lyme test, and she will.
Julymourning, is your DDD from Lyme?
Hi Purple tulip, it very well may be, as well as my osteoporosis, copd, hypertension and a host of other maladies I have, but I've never been able to get an MD to admit I have Lyme, only RMSF. I believe I have the 3 B's, based on symptoms.
Certainly no MD has ever been able to establish a reason for any of my 'diseases', they just say unknown source. Even my constant fevers I used to have.
Sorry this is late, as Traveler said, things today have me occupied. I had to have my Arab horse put to sleep this morning, diagnosed cancer end of March. She'd been a part of my daily life for quarter of a century.
Only reason why I bring this up here, is that I suspected Lyme disease with HER when the vet first came out. This past month I had seen more and more evidence, both neurological and arthritic, all coming on rather suddenly after I picked dozens and dozens of ticks off of her back late Winter.
My vet finally admitted this morning, after hearing the symptoms she'd developed, that he felt I was probably right about
the Lyme. He said it's not easy to cure horses of because of how the Tetracycline products tear their gut up.
Well we all know about
that. I also added the cyst formation situation using something like that, and he agreed. I mentioned having to also use something to cross the blood brain barrier, and he's nodding his head all along. I finally told him I would have tried to treat her with herbs. We talked a bit more but he had another call to get to......
This is something I want to look into, because it's not something HE says, comes up much. Well, it should.
