I would be more concerned if it was the other way around (if Rifampin was being decreased) - as you do have another antibiotic (azithromycin) to go with it.
FWIW - I have also read that Rifampin can decrease the levels of Biaxin in the blood, and Dr. M (Galaxy lab) uses those two together when treating bartonella.

I'm finding the more I read blogs and hear about
different doctor's protocols, the more I find doctors don't prescribe based on monograph interactions, but rather on what combinations work for them in the clinical practice.
