Antibiotics prior to Igenex Lyme Test

I finally found a Dr who is knowledgeable about Lyme, but says that I need to complete 4 wks of antibiotics (minocycline) prior to testing. I have not been tested yet. Is this normal? I've been told by many Drs prior to this how damaging several doses of antibiotics over the last year have been to my already damaged gut, and am terrified of making it worse. Thoughts? Is this worth doing?

Yes, but they insist this is the only way to test, even though it really worries me.

I do not remember any bites or rash, but other testing--cd57, c4a, HLA genetic testing, and feeling great while on doxycycline for something else has lead them to think it might be Lyme.
