Thought this was a good read from a couple years ago on biofilms - excerpts from Schaller's book Combating Biofilms and some q&a w/ the article author:

Good article, P! Thanks for sharing it! I was a little disappointed that they didn't mention Cistus tea though.

Mine is sitting in the freezer because I'm afraid of it! LOL! It kicked my rear!! But, I will pull it back out soon and get back on it - at very low doses for a while since last time I realized I must have a ton of biofilms!
Best of luck to you as you use it!

Thanks. It will be interesting to see how it fares against the BFM-1, which contains:
Magnesium (as magnesium oxide, malate)
Guggul (Aerial) 2.5 % guggulsterones
Amylase 25,000 SKB/g
Oregon Grape (Root) Ext 4:1
Protease 100,000 HUT/g
Bromelain 1200 GDU, 1800 MCU
Papain 3000 USP units
Inositol
Japanese Sophora (Flower) 95% Rutin
Proprietary Blend
Choline Bitartrate, Lipase 80,000 LU/g, Methionine DL
I've been on slightly higher than max doses of the BFM-1 for a month now and feel like I've either plateaued or something else is emerging - have had some issues re-emerge.
Since there are countless types of biofilms, I guess this will be a wild goose chase, too… sigh…

It looks like I'll have to rotate through quite a few of those items mentioned, unless I can find research stating that Cistus tea actually does treat many different forms of Biofilms.
On the other hand, if it suddenly got simple, I would be sure I was missing something major!! LOL! But I sure would be happy if things lightened up a little!

I'm glad this article is getting positive feedback.
Took me ages to write!
If anyone has more questions about
it I'd be happy to try and answer.

For those of you who own Schaller's book, does he provide information for biofilm busters for borrelia, babesia, anaplasma, ect. I read the excerpt, and it sounds as though he thinks that each pathogen has a unique biofilm, so you need to address unique biofilms with the correct biofilm buster. I was just curious if he specifically addresses what's necessary for borrelia biofilm, and other co-infection biofilms. Thanks!
