Hang in there, and don't let those things overwhelm you. You likely know what you are doing - it's just kind of scary when we are being 'put to the test'. I know that feeling! LOL!
I can see that Houttuynia isn't added in until week 13, so you would certainly be adding it in a lot sooner than this schedule:
www.nutramedix.ec/ns/images/stories/CSP12012016Schedule_1.pdf My understanding is that Cowden's works if you stick to the schedule, but I'm not sure just how much it applies - as in, if you add in the Houttuynia now, would it 'undo' any progress? Not sue how it would do so though, so maybe those using Cowden's would be better able to answer that?
Personally, I know that houttuynia is a hard hitting herb for me, and a very effective herb. So, if it was me, I'd likely try it at least for a few days/a week to see how I did - but that's me.
I know that some do combine herbs from Cowden's and Buhner's and seem to be doing well though too. At this point, what do you feel would work for you? A combination of both, or sticking to one or the other protocol - I ask this about
not only the effectiveness, but trying to keep it all straight as well (something I can have a hard time with if I'm not careful! LOL!)
I would encourage you to use the milk thistle - it will help to protect your liver from all the toxins that are being pushed through.
Something else - you need peace about
whatever protocol you use. Being nervous about
whatever protocol we are using doesn't help it work any better, and usually only leaves us with worry and a slower healing process. Stick with what makes you more comfortable using. We are here to help you through this.
