LLMD in New York area!!???

I am 20s years old. I have suffered with untreated Lyme disease for about 9 years and have recently been diagnosed. I only remember feeling 'healthy" all the way back in 4th grade beyond that it's a blur. Endless symptoms and suffering for years. I could never stay awake in school and was losing large amounts of hair at a point (and not knowing why) and cognitive issues too.and now worsining to this day (I was diagnosed about 6 months ago). and it is believe to be Neuro as well at this point. I ( I am currently awaiting MRI results to check for tissue damage at the moment,will update) My doctors are not so helpful to say the least.(my infectious disease doctor even said he doesn't believe in chronic Lyme disease at all!! What a joke)
At this point and how long I have gone UNtreated and the severity I feel very undertreated with only amoxicillin for 2 weeks(igm lowered but Lyme still very present) and doxy was discontinued due to odd muscle weakness. I am only 20 with a four year old to keep up with at that! All my bones snap and hurt terribly,fatigued, heart palpitations (will be seeing cardioligist soon), Tinnitus , dizzyness, crippling panic attacks and most recently my vision is being effected(and that's only a few on the list). If anyone could please suggest some LLMD in the NY area (I live in the Hudson valley) so preferably NYC or somewhere close but anywhere in NY is appreciated as well!!! Please...

When and if you go back on antibioitics or any treatment that kills the bacteria, you need to pay attention to the second in the intro on detoxing. We have learned, many of us, how crucial it is to employ various methods to help our bodies rid itself of the mounting toxins from die off organisms.

Also, if you are on abx(antibiotics) you will need to be taking good, high count probiotics to replace the beneficial bacteria the abx kill along with the bad. There is much info about that in our intro as well. Pay attention to the timing of this, which needs to be after taking the abx or the probiotics will just be killed off too.

For information on finding a​n ILADS ​(International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society)​ trained​ Lyme Literate Medical Doctor(LLMD) in your area, you will need to enable your email option in your profile in order to receive any recommendations, as we don't allow doctor's names and contact info to be posted on the forum for several reasons.
