Good morning to all. I started A-bart 3 weeks ago for Bartonella. I'm having feelings of increased warmth with mild sweats. I have never had hot flashes but I am assuming this is how it feels. Has anyone experienced this while treating bartonella?

Patty, I had menopause hot flashes some time ago. I can still get one if I drink a hot drink or alcohol.
They feel different than the sweaty hot from lyme or bart.
I would cool myself down (during the day) by running cold water over my hands. Lots of times you can get your body to cool down if your hands, feet or head are cooled down.
When I worked in my sweaty, dirty job, I had a cooling handkerchief that was icy cold and I would wrap around my neck. That cool at the base of your neck can cool you down also. I guess the cowboys used those hankies for more than dust. LOL!
It's just another symptoms and boy aren't there many!! Every time I turned around, I would have a new symptom pop up. I started making it a joke in our house. I got tired of freaking out and worrying. It was my way of coping.

I started getting heat/sweat around my neck/shoulders after hitting Bart for 4-5 months.
I've since added in babesia treatment, and I did herx from it.
When you hit an specific infection and it is reduced, others seem to grow/gain traction so you see other symptoms dominate.

Since I just started to treat Bart I am guessing it is caused from
this infection?

It could very well be herx. I was having hot flash type feelings - my OBGYN said I was in perimenopause. LOL. I think it's my thyroid. Have you had yours checked? They seemed to stop once I started NatureThroid. I still have cold feet, but no more hot flash feelings.

For me it's back of the neck, back of the skull and top of the my back. this occurs at night (I wake up damp).
this is from babs I believe, and started after 5 months or so of Rifampin putting Bart it it's place
