Babesia Testing and Treatment

Hi,

My LLMD indicated that I have clinical symptoms of Babesia (as I suspected too), but she did not start the treatment saying that she needs a positive test before she can give me medication (she said the medication is expensive and she needs to protect herself from insurance companies).

Three questions, please:
-- Does this make sense? What other LLMDs do for this, considering that there is not a good test for these co-infections?

-- What is the best test for Babesia in your experience?

-- Any way to start medication earlier than getting a positive test result? E.g. can I trip to Mexico to buy them or use online sources? Are there generic meds?

If your doctor absolutely wont prescribe anything, I recommend checking out Healing Lyme 2nd Edition by Stephen Harrold Buhner. He has an extensive protocol that hits babesia.

If you do a quick google search you will find all of this on his website as well. He usually uses three herbs - Cryptolepis, Sida Acuta, and Alchornea

My LLMD is having me take cryptolepis for babesia. I haven't had a positive test, but I have heard it is almost impossible to test positive for it.

If you go this route start SLOW with one drop a day and work your way up very slowly to around 20 drops three times per day, or as much as you can tolerate. Detox, detox, detox.
