Hi, I've never joined anything online before, not even FB, so I'm very new to this in genereral, but wanted to say hello instead of lurking.

First off I have not been diagnosed with Lyme, tested in 2003 though. I have more symptoms on that master list than not. Mostly neuro, I have weakness on the left side of my body from being paralyzed, my right arm used to major tremors to mild and as of the last two days it's getting more weak, right leg/glut is numb but has neuropathy pain, and mostly blind in right eye, so I have double blurred vision with bad depth perception. In any case driving is challenging because I can't see or feel the pedals. In fact all things are challenging, especially when you're on your own. This seems like a place where most of you will understand. I used two sites to locate a dr with no luck. Either really bad reviews, no longer in practice or in the area. I wanna give a shout out to a member PetaZa for recently posting a link I have not used, I entered my info immediately. Another Thank you is for the "New to Lyme" thread.

Aw Misalily so sorry you have lyme.

I am glad to be of even the littlest help to anyone. Like most of us here, we know how it feels when you first know you have lyme.

I felt like a freak. No one understood my symptoms. When I found this place, I found a place of compassion and knowledge. Boy was this place a welcome site!

Glad you joined us and I have been here awhile and I still refer to the New To Lyme thread for lots of information.

Hope you find a super good doctor!

I have never been much of a joiner, either. This disease forces one out of their comfort zone on so many levels. Welcome and I hope you find the help you need.

Misalily - We can help you find a LLMD.

Start a new thread: "looking for LLMD in/near___" and fill in the blank.

Then enable your email (through "My Profile") so members can send you names privately. We don't post the names here for protection of our Docs.

You can also contact me - send me an email, and I will check my list of LLMD's and send you names I have for your area.

If you want to be tested before seeing a LLMD, you can call Igenex Lab in California and they will send you a test kit for free.
Then you need a Dr. to sign the lab req. The best bang for your buck is the Lyme WB IgM and IgG for $210.

Absolutely sorry that you have Lyme! But you will get tons of support and info. These folks know what they are talking about. Im newly diagnosed and trying to still figure things out........so I offer you soft, gentle hugs! ❤

Hi misalily I'm new too and have already found a LLMD and have an appt next Wednesday. These people are wonderful and so helpful. We can all get through this together 😊
