Does western blot confiem other infections?

I'm not an expert at reading results but I do know that band 41 is a type of flagella type bacteria and is either Lyme or syphilis.

I have Lyme and co infections and 41 is the only one that showed up on my early testing.

If your having symptoms, is this doctor ilads trained and with experience, I would think he/she could clinically diagnosis you as test can be unreliable.

I would talk to your doctor again or get a second opinon, and get tested at Igenix, for 210 dollars you can get basic panel done. The doctor needs to sign the request/order.

If its Lyme and co. you want to start treating to avoid further complications down the road.

I tested positive for 39 41 and.93 from a lab corp western blot. Which is a negative for Lyme. But doesn't that result show pretty strongly that I do have some kind of active bacterial infection? Or is that not how the test works.
Most of my other labs are normal so I think my Dr is thinking I don't have lyme, case closed. My Dr is a Lyme specialist as well.
Any thoughts?

Those bands (IGM) positive on an Igenex WB are not only Igenex positive, but CDC positive

For IGG with Igenex - they're Igenex positive (but not CDC)

Its not just 'some kind' of active bacterial infection - it's specifically lyme disease.

You do have lyme. Your doctor has not said you do not have lyme, right??? When he says that, it will be time to find another doctor.

After your test did he start you on treatment? If you don't mind, can you share what he prescribed for you?

Dr gave me a probiotic, a supplement called apo HEPAT, something for Candida and a cortisol lowering supplement to start with. This clinic doesn't use antibiotics to treat Lyme.
I have not seen the Dr since completing tests. Got a message from Dr office saying nothing urgent in my results they will go over labs at next appointment. That isn't for 3 weeks. If I have Lyme it seems Dr would want to start treatment now I certainly want to start asap. As I am so low energy now I can barely function.

apo-Hepat is a liver support product made by Pekena. The Pekena products are excellent. I'd ask to see your blood work if I were you. I've taken apo-hepat before when my blood work has indicated my liver was struggling. It would make sense to get your liver back to a healthy state before treating. Die off is tough on our liver and kidneys.

The cortisol supplement if taken at night should allow you to sleep. I'm going to assume like many of us you've been dealing with insomnia. My cortisol was crazy high at night and a lowering supplement made it possible to sleep.

I take the Pekana apo-Hepat - and I haven't had raised liver enzymes since I started taking it.

It could also be the infections...but I'm not going to change back to Milk Thistle since I'm having good results with the apo-Hepat.
