Looking for a LLMD that takes low income patients. Need to figure out if my positive test results (1 1/2 months ago) , now negative test results (second test) western blot is correct and all symptoms are something else or related. Symptoms did not change after 28 days on Amoxicillin.

I don't know about LLMD's who take low income patients...

Thank you for all the info. I will email you for the list. I can call and discuss the insurance issues with them. Appreciate all your input!!

Many are telling me it is a long drawn out struggle and even harder with a doctor who doesn't know. I will look forward to you list to see if any one of them will help me.

about a year ago I was helping someone search the valley and the closest we came was SLO. I hope things have changed.

I think if you head to the bay area and try Palo Alto, for instance, you are going to have many more choices. Just a few minutes farther, but so many more choices. Not such a traffic friendly area though.

Girlie, the link does not work for Dr. M in SLO, but he is still practicing there.

He is on Garden Street, right around the corner from my Mom's house.

Doxygirl, I don't know him personally, but he is ILADS trained.

I will email you a couple other names. I have 2 names in Arroyo Grande.

Dr. M's office is specifically in Newport Beach, Ca but he does go to SLO by appointment only. His phone number on the ad you saw that says permanently closed is still a good number for him.

Called all on th elist. YES Dr M is now in Newport Beach. To far from me. The only one that was there is private pay as I am finding most are. Just cant go there, sadly.

BUT NOW was told I am positive for EBV and being sent to an infectious disease doctor. Will see if this one will have any insight. Anyone have any good questions to ask this new doctor?? I need to make a list as I wont remember anything when I get there.

ALSO going to start herbs suggested by Dr. Jay Nielsen, MD, and order Buhners books. We continue the journey.

I have not read on this forum of very many good outcomes with an ID doc. They don't usually believe in lyme disease. They think you should just take a round of antibiotics and you are cured.

As for questions - go to the New To Lyme thread and there is a thread about questions you can ask your doctor.
