It's all dependent on their immune systems I'd say. The test is based on if your body makes antibodies to that specific band (part of the bacteria). Also, if this is with a lab like labcorp I wouldn't trust results much. My daughter had positive Elisa and then bands 41 & 66 on blot. They then re-ran the blot using the same blood sample and came back with just 41. And then tried to charge me for two western blots.
That's strange. Why would they re-run it in the first place? Same blood sample?
