I definitely am going/went through an anti-social phase. I especially find it difficult to hear all of the great stuff my friends are doing while I'm at home nursing my wounds. I can't help but be a bit jealous!
I think it's ok to stay cooped up and just take really good care of yourself and be anti-social for a bit. But make sure you do have one or two people (parents, sibling?) who you are checking in with so someone is familiar with your healing path.
I have found that some of my friends want to know how to help -- so I'll ask them to bring dinner over -- or do something low key where there is no pressure. If they're really your friends, they'll get it and adapt. And just remember, it will get better with treatment - this is a phase you will get through.
