My eye doctor was no help, he just told me they were dry and I should use eyedrops but they are no help and I know that is not the case.They burn, feel gritty and are red. does anyone else get this symptom and do you know why?

I did. I am not sure what bacteria to suspect or if it is. Probably multiple in my case.

What made it more difficult to determine is they responded to several antifungals and Doxycycline.

The redness didnt depart until I began using Doxycycline. It didnt cure it but it seemed as if it did for a good while before they became irritated again.

I did see an ophthalmologist that was unable to determine anything with stain and slit lamp.

The default diagnoses was allergies.

When I am not using antibiotics I use colloidal silver in the eyes. Take care not to use ionic.

That was my very first Lyme symptom. My eye doctor sent me to a neurologist because she thought it could be something behind the optic nerve and an eye doctor can't see that.....also she sent me to have an MRI.

Can't say that I know why but I also had blurry vision, and had some blind spots in her testing.

same here, eye dr would say everything checks out.
they dont know what to look for.

it's bartonella or lyme or both. lyme treatment will get rid of it.

Stephen Buhner recommends a Stephania eye wash for eye involvement. I haven't tried it. I think he only describes it in the book. In the website, he directs people to the book for that.

I've had extreme dry eyes and mouth as part of my symptoms but discovered hormones were the main reason for mine. I got relief when I started taking Estrosense.

I, too, have had dry, burning eyes and headaches behind and around my eyes. My LLMD suspects a lot of that is due to Bartonella (though it, of course, could just be Lyme).

I have also had increased floaters and intermittent blurred vision, which my LLMD definitely attributes to Lyme.

My ophthalmologist said my eyes appeared completely healthy to him. But, he was aware of the strain Lyme and co's could place on the eyes.

You should see relief with treatment. Hang in there.
