As good as I was feeling for the past few weeks, something is definitely happening now and I'm not sure how to tell if it's Lyme coming back, Bart coming to the forefront, or a side effect of lexapro (which I just started on Saturday).
I was having terrible anxiety/panic which I could no longer control with herbs, so I finally decided to go back on an SSRI. I've already noticed a difference in my anxiety (I responded almost immediately to the last one I was on too) but for the past two days I've felt fluish. I have a burning sore throat, low energy, swollen glands and that overall yucky feeling.
I looked at one of the Bart lists on here. Of 19 possible symptoms, I have the following (none are new onset, they've either come back or are still lingering):
Fatigue often with agitation
Low grade fevers especially morning or later afternoon. Feelings of coming down with a flu or virus
Eye symptoms including blurry, dry or red eyes
Sore throats (recurring)
Swollen glands
Anxiety or worry attacks
Poor sleep quality
Joint pain and stiffness
Tremors
Heart Palps or strange chest pains
Episodes of breathlessness
I doubt it's really the flu. The lexapro can cause fluish feelings and sore throat, but how long do I wait to do something? I don't want to panic and call my LLMD - he probably won't do anything until I get the Bart test done anyway and I don't have the money right now. If it's side effects, it should go away within a week or so, but if it's Bart, I don't want to let it go untreated and get worse.
I do have a Bart fighting arsenal (houttyunia etc) on hand. I also have 2 weeks worth of Doxy on hand. Should I start treating just in case? Any thoughts on how to proceed?
As always, thanks in advance for your help!!
