Hi everyone!

The day finally arrived....test results are back....but I'm not sure what I'm looking at.

Tested thru Igenex at LLMDs request:

Positive bands: 30, 41, and 58

Borrellia burg. IFA >80 - positive

EB virus anti VCA - high >750 (>22.0 positive)

EB virus early antigen - high - 99.4 (>11.0 positive)

EBNA-1 nuclear AG iGg - high - 378 (>22.0 positive)

Absolute CD57 - low - 38 (60 - 360 normal)

Is Epstein Barr active?

raspberryswirlgirl - Yes, it looks like your EBV has been reactivated based on those numbers.

Do you have fatigue?

Your WB doesn't show a lot - but band 41 is the flagella of a spirochete. There are a few other 'things' that can cause that - Syphillis, Relapsing Fever, Pinta and Yaws... If you don't have one of those...then it does point to lyme.


and Band 58 is thought to be a European strain of Lyme.

You did have a positive screen test (IFA) .

Low CD57 also.

If you have symptoms and history that indicates lyme...with these results, I'd say there's enough to back up a lyme diagnosis.

Thanks so much for your insights!

My LLMD has clinically diagnosed me with Lyme (Bart and Babesia - which showed as a negative). Last summer I stepped in a nest of nymph deer ticks while on vacation and in December my strange symptoms began (joint pain, flu-like symptoms, tons of neuro symptoms, blurry Vision, etc).

My next big decision will be abx or Cowden Protocol (not sure why the doctor suggests this one?)
