I'm writing from my phone I will try to activate at home. These are available online though ? I live in Taiwan so that's why I was looking for an online consult to show my Taiwanese doctor.
Also, my Taiwanese friend did some digging and found a place I can pay out of pocket and specify what type of test they do.. The cost is only about $90USD though the place is on the other side of the country I can get there in an hour and a half by high speed rail.
The tests they perform seem unusual they apparently have one using joint fluid, one using spinal fluid, and one using the skin. Has anyone heard of these types of tests for Lyme and have any idea of the accuracy (after about a month of antibiotics). I'm wondering if that's maybe worth doing to try and confirm a diagnosis. Any opinions about this option ?
I wouldn't have a spinal tap (lumbar puncture) to check the spinal fluid. They can be quite painful...and it's not an accurate way to test for lyme disease.
