Buhner protocol and low blood pressure?

Has anyone here with low blood pressure had success with the Buhner protocol?

I'm curious because a number of the herbs in it suggest the possibility of lowering blood pressure including cats claw. Do you think there are ways to avoid the blood pressure lowering herbs or using lower doses of them?

Last I checked mine was at 110/63.

That's not too low.

Mine is usually 105 to 110 over 68 - 72.

I took CC and JK with Eleutheros for a couple months - no issues with bp lowering

later I took JK, Houttuynia Sida Acuta, Hawthorn for 4 months - no issues



I read that blood pressure isn't considered too low unless it's below 90 systolic or 60 diastolic.

You could try it and closely monitor it...do you have a bp tester at home?

I don't have one but if there are inexpensive ones I can likely order one on Amazon.

Also curious did you take herbs three times a day or did you switch it up when using the herbs?

Thanks. Was wondering cause the other night I felt like my blood pressure may have been low after taking 3 doses of Japanese knotweed and cats claw throughout the day to the point where I wasn't comfortable laying down until a few hours passed in the am hours. So I think maybe with lower doses I could avoid that effect.

Can you actually feel when your blood pressure is low?


I started testing mine because I would stand up and I would get a pulsing in my head and feel strange.

Turns out my blood pressure wasn't too low...but my pulse was quite high.

It would be good if you could monitor it just to make sure that is what's happening in your case.

I was more guessing but I'm not totally sure. I seem to get symptoms in my chest area from meds and herbs sometimes. I'll try to get a monitor so I can see if that's what it is though.

It felt like low blood pressure to me though cause I would get slight palipations if I tried laying down or even
sitting still. And after awhile I got a little better to sleep which I figured may have been cause the herbs effects were going away hours after taking them.
