Hey Girlie
I'm not receiving treatment in US but I did look into somethings so I might've able to give some info while you wait for some others with direct experience to reply.
In Calgary to get any testing done you need a doctor's requisition. So you need a sympathetic GP to do the requisition.
I learned some things trying to get the blood draw for igenex - happy to add but I'm not sure it's relevant to BC. I have heard that one of the labs in BC will take & use reqs from us doctors but I don't know.
I have heard medication was seized at the border but that was in NY and I wonder if it isn't just an extra nasty border person. Per govt guidelines they allow medications with prescript
ions sufficient for 3 months worth.
So if someone were to try to seize my drugs I would probably escalate as the official guidelines allow up to 3 months.
Re prescript
ions my understanding is pharmacists will not fill US prescript
ions but I heard some found a doctor in Canada who agreed to rewrite.
Alberta pharmacists will fill BC prescript
ions though, just not US.
Re choice of US doctor what I heard was that Dr J barely sees the patients - maybe a ten minute session once in a while and rest of the time you see his staff.
