My personal disease started with brainfog, fatigue, headache, depression and anxiety.
It took 4 years before I developped joint swelling, acrodermatitis chronicum atrophicans and finally paranoia and other strange psychiatric manifestations with a lot of really bad pain.
Antibiotics worked great. A doctor said Lyme could mimic psychiatric diseases and wanted to treat me, I recovered from my most disturbing symptoms.
We should warn others. With a psychiatric label, all symptoms that suggest a systemic condition are dismissed but someone with real depression or anxiety can ofcourse also have a co morbidity with Lyme disease, or even have Lyme disease as the biological cause of their depression and anxiety.
