Anyone have issues with their kidneys after starting treatment?

One month before I started treatment, my labs came back with normal kidney function. After 3 months of treatment, I am now looking at high creatinine levels and stage 3 kidney disease! WTH! On top of all my other issues, now this?

Earlier this year my sister was told she had stage 3 kidney disease. She ceased using a med she was on, and a few months later, her kidneys were good.

So, it is either the abx or the lyme/coinfections that have done this. I am suspecting the abx. I have stopped treatment to get my body ready for hyperthermia treatment in a week. I hope my levels are better, by at least a little bit by the time I get to the clinic.

Hopefully the cessation of abx will allow your kidney function to normalize.

Hoagie -

are you taking any kidney support? Try milk thistle seed, burdock root - and there are some good homeopathic tinctures that I'm now forgetting the name of. You might also do a good kidney flush while you're off the abx. You may just need to do more to support your kidneys.

And increase your water intake significantly. You need to flush them out. I often have kidney pain - and I rehydrate and the pain resolves.

I'm thinking the same thing Girlie is thinking - it is very possible that you have some DNA mutation running in your family that makes it difficult for your kidneys to process meds. That is not uncommon with kidneys or liver, etc. and is why most MDs will do frequent labs.

Maybe there is a dna connection. At this point I hope that's the case. I really don't need these kidneys crapping out on me.

Hope your kidneys heal. You probably know this by now but avoid any nsaids. They are the hardest on the kidneys. Is your BP ok?

Sorry to jump in here but I have a question... I was on IV Rocephin for about 3 months and have been off of it for about 2 weeks and about 4 days ago I started having shakiness (internal). Is this a side effect of long term abx usage or withdrawl? The pharmacist doesn't think so but I thought I'd check here for others experiences? Since the beginning of all of this I have also had a TON of anxiety so not sure if it is coming out in this manner?

I got severe kidney swelling from doing mercury chelation

Tried lots of things. MOst helpful was hydrangea root, a VERY powerful kidney herb ppl dont talk about. Also juniper and uva ursi were both great.

but what took the swelling down dramatically ws DMSO. Rubbed some on my back in the kidney and area and in 4 - 5 days all swelling was gone and kineys were right back to normal.

Lab Corp will be posting my latest labs tomorrow. I have been off abx for nearly 3 weeks. Some of my symptoms are suffering because of it. But my kidney pain is near gone. Plus, not sure if I stated this already, but the doctors in Mexico advised me to stay off abx prior to hyperthermia treatment, and take high doses of probiotics.

I really gotta get my hands on this DMSO.
