Can't find any links to watch for free but when I think of Christmas movies national lampoons Christmas vacation, Gremlins, Die Hard and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer are at the top of my list.

Found a new one. Classic Christmas oldies with scene of a live fire and Christmas tree. Beautiful scenery and great music. Even shows the name of the song and who’s singing it on the screen. I just listened to it while soaking in an epsom salt bath.☺️

We're about the same age, so I have some of that same childhood nostalgia from the 70s. However, I grew up in the south without snow, so it wasn't until I left home for the military that I finally experienced snow.

My first snowy winter was north of Chicago in boot camp. We had to shovel the sidewalks that ran along two sides of the barracks. By the time the snow was cleared, a snowplow came along to clear the road and dumped all our freshly-cleared snow right back onto the sidewalk. Though I don't know for sure, I think it was intentional.

Over the next 30 years, I lived about half of them in locations with cold and snowy winters. I came to really enjoy an actual white Christmas with everything blanketed in snow. A decade ago, I would get out and hike in the snow. These days, the mailbox is about as far as I go. The snowy, rocky creek you described sounds beautiful.

Last year, I was in a cold climate for winter and we had plenty of snow. This winter, I'm back in the south. Last Friday, it was 79° F (26.1° C). Though it's still two weeks away, it's forecast to be 58° F (14.4° C) here on Christmas. Santa will be wearing Bermuda shorts and a t-shirt.

I'm very happy for your recovery and your return to being more physically active. Though I've never been an competitive athlete like you, I was accustomed to hiking, biking, pushups, pullups, etc. Not being able to do those things has been very hard on me physically and mentally. I know you can relate. Keep up the great work.

Personally, on a 1-to-10 scale, my Christmas spirit is about -4. Since childhood, it's not been very robust. But, this year, it's the worst. Blah.
