Sad to see that Walker's wife was just diagnosed as well.
But towards the end she says a 2 week on and 2 week off regimen for her husband it working for him.

He is seeing Dr. S.P in Wilton CT. You can go on his website and read his FAQ. He is really a believer in pulsing. He said he used to treat patients every day with abx, but it was taking years, so he switched to pulsing and finds it gets the same results much much quicker.

The article mentioned tetracycline. Hopefully there is another antibiotic with it.

Why is it off-label?

Tetracycline is prescribed for bacterial infections.

I think pulsing is considered “incorrect” by the CDC. I remember reading one of their passages that was basically saying not to use “alternative treatments” then it listed like 5-6 things that they say are “dangerous” “unproven” and “don’t work for Lyme”. Here is what I remember being on the list:
LLMD’s
Pulsed antibiotic dosing
Hyperbaric
Ozone
Bi****h injections

i don't think it's recommended.

One of our forum Mods who has healed (cd3764) was 'seeing' one of Buhner's recommended herbalists and he told her that she should go from taking herbs 3 X daily to 4X per day.
- That a constant level of the herbs in the system was best.

The active constituent of Artemisia Annua (Artemisinin) is one to be pulsed...and not taken daily indefinitely.

I switched to pulsing after about 2 years of daily dosing..and I much prefer the pulsed method.

No. Lyme has never shown resistance. It is possible, but it has never happened to susceptible antibiotics. It has only shown persistence aka persister cell bacteria. Pulsing antibiotics is one way to address persister cell bacteria according to researcher Kim Lewis.

I’m doing really well. Hope you are too.

I’m excited to say I think I’m on my last 6 months of abx.
If I continue doing well the LLMD will be changing me to herbs.

Right now any detriment is my own doing —diet cheats and sleep (I like to stay up late lol)

I think pulsing would be the opposite, not allowing Lyme a chance to develop resistance, keeping them constantly shifting form and defenses down ready for the kill shot!

Apparently not. I think it's because of the long replication time of the bacteria.
(Other bacteria replication measured in hours...where lyme it's weeks)

Hope I've used the correct terms...lol.

I started pulsing Tetra/Alinia/Diflucan 2 weeks ON and 2 weeks OFF last May. Before that I was pulsing Cipro/Bactrim on same 2 ON/2 OFF schedule for about a year. In July I moved to 3 weeks OFF and saw still OK, then tried 4 weeks OFF in Sept, but some sx returned and stayed on 3 weeks OFF thru winter. GSE, Hout, and JK Plus remain constant full time.

I just started my abx OFF cycle last Monday and plan to try to extend to 4 weeks OFF again. I'll keep you posted then.
