Creatinine Levels

I had some bloodwork done the other day and my creatinine was 1.27. Not fasting. My blood sugar was also 106.

I understand this is not even technically out of the normal range, which is 1.3 on my labs. But before Lyme and doxy it was between .95 and 1.05. And this was when I was working out and eating tons of meat.

Should I be concerned? Hoping it's just a harmless blip.

I would suggest waiting for the next set of blood tests to see what they show - if there is an upward trend at that point, then I'd be looking into it further.

jackinthebox - have you had any other kidney function testing done?

If kidneys are a concern...you could ask your Dr. to run a few more tests on kidney function.

I wasn't really concerned at all and everything else seems fine, this was just thrown in with some other tests and I realized it's starting to creep up. And I got scared of course, because why not? The doctors of course said it's nothing to worry about since it's in the normal range.

I'll probably just wait a bit and try again.

For what it's worth my creatine was low last month. I think Lyme is doing something to our proteins or something.

But were you fasted with your other creatinine tests?
