Severely dry skin/hands

I know some of you have had the severe dry skin and aging hands. But recently my hand dryness has gone to another level. They are so dry wrinkled up they are getting cuts and cracks on the knuckles. When I rub the back of my hand on my cheek it feels like sand paper not skin. The skin is tight when I try to close my hand into a fist. Knuckles burn and are red and inflamed. When you look close to the skin you can literally see every line and crevasse. Also when looking closely it looks like the is some kind of psoriasis plaque all over them. Any one have this as a Lyme symptom? Any specific remedies that worked? Should I go to a dermatologist? My anxious self is starting to think I have a skin eating disease!

I would suggest trying organic coconut oil rubbed all over your skin.

I would also consider yeast issues as a possibility causing this, something to check out.

I had this for a very long time. It seems to have gone away- I don't know why. I agree that it could be a yeast issue. But it did appear around the same time I think I got bartonella. Taking zinc and vitamin c seemed to help it some when it got bad for me.

Thank you Notime4Lyme & insomniaaa. Think I’ll try coconut oil first. But your right I wash my hands constantly with little kids and flu phobia. Think the cold is also a culprit. But I remember having it not as bad in the summer too. Tried organic Shea butter no help. Rose hip oil no help. Tried coconut oil too but not consistently enough. I will up my bit C and zinc see if that makes a difference and perhaps sleep with the oil and gloves. Thank you again! Always sending wishes of good health.
