Hi everyone, Im new to the forum but have been reading posts from here since my clinical diagnosis of Lyme and co's in December. I have been seeing Dr. C in Mt Kisco and although his first round of abx have helped, it never got me back to 100%, and his failure to stress the importance of diet and probiotics wound up with me having to come off the doxycycline and malarone (which i found out contradict each other) he prescribed me and heal my gut, landing me with symptoms 100x worse than before.
Im currently combining Buhner's core protocol with IHA for bart and CSA for babesia, along with Minocycline and Rifampin, and many supporting suppelements but as much research as I have done, having the guidance of a good LLMD who doesn't just throw a prescript
ion at you would immensely help my fiance (who is showing symptoms also) and I's recovery journey. Any help would be great and thank you all for helping me keep a positive outlook while were struggle for our lives back.

Hi and welcome to our forum,
I am so sorry for what you have gone through and that you have Lyme and co and it is important to have your girlfriend be treated properly also.
I started out with Dr C. also but now see someone in New Hampshire.
You can email me for other llmd's from our list for your area(But I don't have personal experience with them).
So I would suggest to kept checking back for responses from members that have a good recommendation and relationship with an llmd in New York area.
If your wiling to travel a bit there may be more options available to you.
You will have to enable your email in your profile to receive messages from members.
We also encourage you to look through our "New to Lyme" start here thread at the top of the page.
It has useful information on Lyme, testing, symptoms and more.
Also many members here you herbal protocols so feel free to ask questions or reach out for support when needed.
After being with Dr C from Sept 2016 to May 2017, I went to all Buhner Herbals in July 2017. I m still a work in progress but I don't regret switching llmd's and my treatment path.
Take care, Jo

Thank you so much, I am not opposed to traveling, and was wondering how you're doing on Buhner's herbs and how long it took for you to start seeing results? I fear I may have passed lymes to my fiance, fortunately, her symptoms are pretty well controlled with the right diet. Im debating whether to go full herbals or a combination of abx and herbals because from what ive read, alot of abx can actually suppress the immune system. I will enable my email now thanks again!

Because of getting candida from the ABX I went all herbal. Treatment results and timing of getting well is varied with every individual.
I have been treating overall for a year and a half. Only 7 months on all herbals and supplements but I am 95 to 98% well. Depends on the day and also I'm treating the candida and that can slow healing from Lyme and co infections down.
Healing will depend on how long you were infected before being treated, overall health(immune system), co infections, parasites, yeast issues , detoxing, adequate sleep and more.
I will email you some info on some llmds you can check out.
Others should be along to chime in to and offer suggestions, Take care, Jo

Ive been a gym nut my whole life, always taken care of myself and my symptoms are a little joint pain, rib cage soreness, the soles of my feet hurt a little in the morning and a whole lot of brain fog. Also, my shins burn which is probably a sign of neuro lyme. Im hoping with the use of Buhner's full protocol I can get my immune system to start back up and take control of these infections and get my fiance on a similar regiment. If anyone knows of a Buhner practictioner also that would be great!

Sounds like Bartonella symptoms possibly. Sore soles and shin pain are common symptoms of Bart. along with skin and neurological symptoms.
Many with Lyme also have one or more of the co infections. Something to be aware of.
Take care

Welcome, Costa.
Would you be interested in one of Buhner's recommended herbalists to guide your treatment?
I can dig up the list for you.
I know some do phone consults...so you don't necessarily need to find one near you.

Heres a link to the herbalist list:

Tim Scott and Julie McIntyre are two that have good reviews by a few forum members.
