Balance Problems - Leg Weakness

I also had convinced myself it was MS, and with 3 negative Lyme tests, I was convinced it WASN'T Lyme. Until it seemed the universe decided to smack me in the face and had me meet 5 - 6 people with Lyme within about 3 months who all had pretty much the exact same story I did. That was when I decided to find an LLMD / LLND and get properly evaluated.

I was seeing EL when I was there. She's super nice, even has Lyme herself, but she couldn't help me. Now I go to a Klinghardt trained ND in San Rafael. I've been going for close to 2 years now, and have definitely made improvements. They're small, but noticeable (over time). I love them. I hope you can get results with your current practitioner; I think Santa Rosa is closer to Grass Valley than San Rafael.

Jasperilla, I just emailed you. Thank you. How did you get your kids tested? I have 2 boys. 1 and 3... mine are loud and physical too. Noise tends to throw me off as well. Even makes me lose my balance a little. How are you treating your kids?

We did IGeneX testing for them. My LLND at the beginning of treatment asked how my kids were, and did I think I'd had Lyme long enough to give it to them while I was pregnant. Of course, I hadn't thought of that, but my kids did have problems.

My oldest had ADHD-type symptoms practically since she was born; she needed LOTS of physical stimulation to calm her down, and as she grew, couldn't remember anything, didn't listen, had trouble with transitions, very easily distracted, had a lot of meltdowns (past when it was age-appropriate to tantrum like a toddler), was very active, has a lot of stomach issues, etc., etc. I mentioned this to my doc and she said that congenital Lyme often presents with ADHD-type symptoms and that we should get her tested. And of course, it was positive.

Then I knew I had to test my twins too. One was a blaring positive, and she was the one who had had the most issues, failure to thrive and proprioception problems as an infant, emotional problems, etc. My son's test was more ambiguous, but was very suspicious, and since he experiences a lot of weird pains and skin sensitivity and stomach issues, he's been clinically diagnosed. He also had a tick bite at 4 and the tick tested positive for Lyme, so he got it either from me or from that.

Treatment is SO expensive, and I can't work, so I'm treating myself and one of my daughters, the one who's symptoms are the worst. The others are taking binders and some supportive supplements until we can move on to treating them more aggressively. They also eat and live really cleanly, which I think goes a long way towards helping these infections not be able to thrive.

Jasperilla, I am sorry too. Thank goodness you have diagnosed them though. Can you imagine not knowing and just having to try and figure it out once they really has bad symptoms (worse). I will be praying for your recovery as well as your kids.

I am thinking I should probably have my children tested. My littlest has granuloma annulare (what the dermatologist called it). Other than that they both are active healthy boys. The dermatologist said he sees the rash on healthy kids and it can take 1-2 years to go away. But now I wonder...

I'm not sure when I got lyme... That's what sorta worries me. I didn't really experience symptoms until Aug 2017 and my last baby was born August 2016.

I was diagnosed with Cat Scratch Fever when I was 10, which is Bartonella. Makes me wonder...

Any thoughts anyone?

My CD57 is 28 is that an indicator of how long I've had it? Or just how low my immune system is. Thank you

Thank you, Jasperilla. That's excellent advice. The thought of them drawing blood from these little guys kills me, but the thought of them ever experiencing anything like what I am going through is much worse.
