(No Subject)

Hi,
Please help me. Am looking for a Lyme Literate Doctor in the Southern New Jersey area (Berlin New Jersey08009).
(Close to Vorhees and Sicklerville areas in New Jersey)
This all started when my fingers started feeling strange in January. Then in late Feb I lost sensation from my hands and face. Soon after this I lost dexterity of my hands and fingers and occasionally lose the use of my left hand all together.
Now it is getting difficult to walk-like the signal to my legs is all wrong -and my short term memory is completely shot.
I did find a tick on me in February (and I was surprised) but am I the woods constantly and there have been others;and there are concerns this may be from owning a pet finch whose cage I didn't keep well after because the bird flies freely outside the cage-so it does not suffer.
Please help me-I am desperate

Welcome, there is a wealth of information from the members of this site. I too am located in south jersey. I currently am seeing Dr G in Basking Ridge nj. (about two hours from you) She diagnosed me about three months ago and I am being treated with abx only. I am seeing improvement, but it is still early on. Many members feel she is too conservative in her treatment . Have you had any labs done by your PCP? If you have not done already read the post on new to Lyme. Also put up a new post and in the subject list looking for LLMD in southern NJ. That way more members will see it easily and edit your profile to add your email so members can PM you if needed.
