I tested positive a whiile ago by igenix, but abx did nothing for me.

My current infectious disease specialist says "yeah, ILAD people like igenix have 'invented' their own science regarding Lyme disease, and igenix likes to pump out positive test results all the time" ... "You don't have Lyme disease right now"

But, the Japknot is helping, I think...

Either way, even if I did just have plain ol' rheumatoid arthritis, without an infection, the plants seem to be taking me on an evolutionary journey toward health and vitality.

Oddly, at the end of my appointment with the specialist, he said, "One of the smartest people I know said that he thinks that in the future, we will discover that most, if not all autoimmune diseases are actually occult (hidden) infections."

Well, I am officially confused, but I ain't gonna stop taking these herbs!

If you tested positive with Igenex and you have symptoms, I think you can rest assured you have Lyme. That's wonderful that the knotweed is helping. If that's all you're taking, I'd recommend getting Buhner's books if you haven't already and treat everything with a well rounded protocol to ensure the best outcome.

P.S. - You're not the one who's confused. The ID doctor is. He is biased based on ridiculous misinformation. I hope that someday in our lifetime there will be accurate testing that is accepted by all. It should also be provided at NO COST to patients, especially those who have already spent huge sums of money trying to get a diagnosis and treatment for their illnesses. I hope justice will someday prevail.

Girlie, the most recent test was negative. But I tested positive back in 2009 for Lyme and Babesia. I tested negative like a year after that, and then again positive in 2011. Then negative, last week.

Confusion is a misunderstatement.
