In 2017 november i was at my dermatologist because i had some red dots down there. He gave me Mycosist, what is in Europe like Difulcan the same fluconazole. He gave me 8x 150mg during 1,5month and than the dots gone. After that i thought this is end and thats all. BUT after a few weks the pure hell was started. I had lot of issues, and have still. Dizziness, very bad insomnia, nightmares, vivid dreams, anxiety and panic, fever non stop, and ear ringings. I was on ER two time with heart issues but they found nothing. My liver gamma was 100 wich was 50 more than a normal. Since than i used milk thissle and 3 liter a water/day. I made some research and i found that it can be herx reaction. Month ago i made candida test but they found nothing - im clear. Now im hit 4 month with this problems and i do not know what to do... any idea what could be?

Hi ViiBoo - welcome!

Are you asking if it could be lyme disease?

Those symptoms could certainly be LD. Did you have recent exposure to ticks...a tick bite...etc?
(Even if you didn't...it doesn't rule out LD)


You could get an Armin Labs test - Elispot/Ispot test done and see what it shows.

Hello Girlie!

Today i want to the labor here in Budapest/Hungary. I gave blood and waiting approx 2 weeks now for the result because of a large waiting list. I made today the Western-blot. AS i remember 20-25 years ago i got 3 times a tick bite, but than my mom took out carefully - "she said", and i did not recognized than any of red cicles on my skin. Until 2017 december i was fine, when i took fluconazole pills, since than I'm very sick and tired. As I wrote i can not fall asleep and ear tinnitus and so on...

Even if the ticks are taken out 'carefully' - they may have already infected you.

I don't know if the WB you're getting will be good enough.

If you get a negative result...then you can always try the Armin Labs test. (Germany) the Elispot and Seraspot are two good tests.

The main issue at this moment, that i made candida test with negative result, than i went now to WB test and my family think that I have to go to psychologist because I have some mental issues... sad and Im not able to explain that this is something other. Nothing was bad with me until i took those Fluconazole pills. SOmetimes i was tired and sensitive to light but not as now I am. Nowadays i have very irritable ears to sounds, and still light sensitive. Some strage Zapps in my whole body If i try to see some movie with frightening scenes, like Im not able to controll the stress factor. Very strange... Vivid dreams, hard to fall asleep, and when Im try to fall aslepp i hearing voices.. f....

Fluconazole is an anti-fungal used for Candida/yeast infections and your symptoms got worse after taking it, but your Candida test was negative.

Not sure if antifungals can cause herxing from Lyme or coinfections. Maybe others who have used it might know.

It could just be a coincidence with the timing and the worsening symptoms is just from progression of possible infections from ticks and unrelated to the medication.

Those symptoms are pretty bad. Bartonella can cause sensitivities to light and sound and other things and some pretty bad psychological symptoms and trouble falling asleep. I don't hear voices, but I do have intrusive thoughts and mental images sometimes when trying to go to sleep and sometimes have fear and strange feelings like I can't breathe or swallow or feel like I'm going to die in my sleep. That stuff was pretty bad for me a few years ago, but thankfully it doesn't happen very often now.

Babesia and Lyme can cause some, too. I'm wondering if parasites could be a factor with those symptoms, as well. Not sure if ticks actually transmit parasites other than babesia, but they can make a person more vulnerable to getting them. I've read that parasites can cause mental issues.

I just went back and looked at your first post. Red dots could be from bartonella skin symptoms or a spotted rash from one of the spotted fevers. There may be other coinfections involved that we don't hear too much about. If you can get tested for coinfections, that might be helpful. Unfortunately, testing for Lyme and coinfections turns up a lot of false negatives, so a negative test isn't proof you don't have something.

Oh, bartonella also can cause all kinds of heart issues.

If you're a reader and want to know more about the various infections, what they do, and how to treat them herbally, you might want to get Stephen Buhner's books Healing Lyme 2nd edition and his two books on coinfections. Great reference books even if you treat with antibiotics.

Also Babesia can produce spots - Pettetchia - (wrong spelling)

Hi, i do not know what is inside of me but the feelings are so strange:

- hard to fall asleep, sometimes zapps in my body when hit the dream fase and immediately waking up (10times /night)
- strange voices hearing, and nightmares comming
- very lack of energy during the day, like a Zombie
- fever non stop 37,3C+
- sensitive to voices and lights (sometimes flasshing lights in dark room)+ (i have to use ear plugs)
- diarrhea every day
- tinnitus (sometimes right ear, sometimes left ear sometimes both of them)

I even do not know what to eat or how to eat? Shall i use lemon water or not. Today i go to German test of these:

Borrelia Elispot LTT – (CPDA)
CD3-/CD57+ Cells–(Heparin+EDTA)
Ehrlichia-DNA-PCR – (EDTA)

It will cost approx 300$ in Hungary but i have to do this, because I've already done all the other simple tests (EKG, blood test etc)

Hi Vilboo,

Yes lemon water is great for detoxing and eating clean important.
It is worth getting the test, the results are not always reliable but I was lucky to get a positive for lyme and coinfections. I’m treating with herbs

I also have a constant low grade fever. This could be due to babesia although my doc thinks it’s a herx

I don’t think that would cause a herx but then I’m not sure. Maybe get the tests done and take it from there. Or you could start with herbals and see how the body reacts if your current symptoms are persisting.

The fact is that 2months ago I was sicker than today. Nowadays i have some windows when Im almost good, but just almost. Than the reactions come back. 1-2h okay than a half day bad and so on but never 100% ok. 2 months ago i was 2times on ER with heart tachycardia and with full blow panic attacks, now my heart rate is stable. They gave me a Xanax BUT when i took it 0,25mg my all reactions became much stronger, so I threw it into the trash. After Difulcan i did not use anything to detoxify my body because i didn't know about it. So i started to use Milk Thistle and water 3L/day. So that why i thought i could have some herx. Just I didn't know what was killed inside of me.

Low grade fever could be a sign of bartonella.
It can also cause insomnia I believe.

Some LLMDs say that Fluconazole is a mild cyst buster, so yes it could trigger a Lyme herx.


IgG 41 is cross reactive with other flagella organizms. But don't rule it out. Many folks with Lyme only get band 41 reactive.

As tickbite666 stated - Band 41 represents the flagella of a spirochete....not just lyme.

So yes you could have lyme.

My doc told me that i do not have lyme because my symptomps not like a regular lyme and from Igg show that it was an old infection and Igm is negative so i dont have any sign of fresh infection in one year period. I really do not know what to do, shall i made another tests like:

if fluconazole make me herx, than how long will it stay or when my symptomps go away? i had today vertigo and panic attacks, and when i go sleep at the evening i see some flashing in my eyes.

Armin labs is a good lab to test for Lyme. I thought you did test for those already?

I often see both the Immunoblot and Elispot done.

You had a known tick bite - embedded...and symptoms....I would try to find a LLMD to treat you.

In my case, my 41 iGg band was confirmed as Lyme with a C-6 Peptide test. I'm also awaiting the results of the DNA Connexions urine test I took. It costs about twice as much as the IGeneX blood test, but it's supposed to be really good.

how can I convince a doctor who is a specialist in lyme that I need a therapy? He thinks my body has already defeated this before, and it can be traced back to this result. I did not have or have muscle pain, headaches, but my neck is not rigid either. One sure that when I got fluconazole medication after i had panic attacks at night, light flashing in front of my eyes, I was dizzy and I felt very bad. By now, it may seem to ease, but my ears are still rinnging and I'm mentally labile. Now I have asked a date for another doctor, but here we will only be able to receive it in 4 months (so i t will be in august) or when the other booking is released.


PS: after a phone call my doc told me that she can prescribe me amoxycillin 1000mg x 3 / day for 30day. Is not to much?
