Hey everyone...I've completely recovered from my appendectomy last month and I feel absolutely great. After finishing my 10 day abx combo of cipro and flagyl, I got 5 painful cysts all over my lower body. I got prescribed augmentin for a skin infection and now 5 days into taking it, the slight ringing in my ears has disappeared all of a sudden.

I was just chilling in my quiet room when the ringing completely seized to exist. I was honestly about to burst into tears of happiness for hearing silence for the first time since I was a child. Also, my depression and anxiety have improved significantly since I began taking augmentin. Could this progress be from augmentin or the fact that I'm taking it in combination with parastroy (parasite cleansing formula)? If the tinnitus comes back after finishing augmentin, I'm definitely going back to my doctor and getting another prescription because it's obviously working. Hope you all have a great day!

Great to hear you have some good news! I'm so happy for you.

I don't know anything about prescription meds but it's good to hear your ears, depression and anxiety have improved.

I stayed on Augmentin 3x per day for 90 days. It helped. Glad it helped you also.

I think I’d go back and get a few more weeks of the Augmentin - Right away - don’t wait for the noise to start up

Appreciate the kind words everyone! I'm getting another two-week prescription of augmentin tomorrow just to be on the safe side. I never thought the tinnitus would ever go away so I've learned to fully embrace it because I assumed it was mostly caused by putting very loud music on my headphones for many years but turns out it's caused by a darn infection.

So happy to hear that! So many of the symptoms that disappeared for me (symptoms I had since I was a kid) I always assumed were part of my make-up and would never go away. Anxiety, concentration issues, insomnia, ears blocking up, skin issues... they keep receding as I keep treating.

It's the same way for my mom too (she also has lyme). As she's continued treatments her back pain, mood, and arthritis have really improved. The back pain was the most surprising for her because she assumed it was structural, but it seems the pathogens really target those damaged tissues (she probably had some type of injury many years ago, but not bad enough to warrant the degree of debilitation and pain her back was causing).
