So if you have the gene and you get your house cleaned up and detox the mold out of your body - then what do you do when you’re outside, and in others homes? Are you able to tolerate it at that point?
Mold is everywhere... so how do you stay well.. a continued protocol for life if you have the gene?
I have to remember to spell mold without the “U” like we do in Canada.
I can smell outdoor mold too - I think most people can.
For some lucky people, getting out of the moldy environment is all they need.
Others who have genetic susceptibility will have to do more. The Shoemaker Protocol has 12 steps, I believe. There are a bunch of labs that have to be run. Shoemaker has a protocol for treating with Rx to normalize each lab marker that has been affected. If the person is still symptomatic after removal from mold exposure and subsequent treatment and lab markers are normalized, then VIP can be used. For some, it is the magic bullet that turns off the gene activation. In order to use VIP, you must be in a very low mold environment as tested by ERMI and be MARCONS free.
Removal from mold exposure is first. Cholestyramine or Welchol are used to bind mycotoxins. Patient is tested for MARCONS and the CIRS labs and treatment depends on the lab results.
According to a source Buhner quotes in Healing Lyme in the long section on cat's claw, it states that cat's claw can normalize the HLA-DR genetic expression.
Shoemaker only uses pharma drugs. He has no natural protocol to follow. I'm convinced there are herbs that will accomplish the same results. I'm looking for what will increase VIP and/or MSH. If anyone knows, please share.
I know that Klinghardt said that those who address HPU/KPU are less affected by mold.
The mold and genetic issue is all related to the individual's ability to effectively remove those toxins. For some, it is likely the total level of toxins from all sources that is overloading the detox organs.
