Hi y'all, I just start taking a low dose of msm 500mg to see what benefits it would have and it seems to have reduced my muscle twitches a great deal. They were fairly mild anyway but they have gotten even better with msm.

I've only taken it a few days and have stayed on a low dose because of possible herx but you can safely take 4grams a day or more. It is supposed to be very safe unless you are allergic to sulfur.

Some of the side effects I've seen look more like a herx that would probably diminish over time. Anxiety, high blood pressure, stomach issues. etc...

Does anyone have any experience similar to this? It is in the same family as dmso. It has also helped with some muscle pain although I don't have much of that left anyway

My muscle twitching subsided a lot when I upped my rifampin from once a day to twice a day, on recommendation by girlie on this forum.

SeanIRL - that's great. How soon after the increased dose did the twitching subside?

My twitching is not that bad anyway and im not taking any abx unless it becomes necessary. I've had a little bit here and there but it's getting better as time goes on and the msm is helping even more. I looked at past posts and someone named Redeye had some success with msm and collostrum which I haven't tried.
